Hello

The season came to an end with our presentation evening and cup finals. There was an excellent turnout and we were treated to two well contested finals.

I would like to change the handicapping system for the Ian White cup competition from setting the handicaps at the start of the competition, and keeping them set throughout, to changing them on a match to match basis. I think that this may result in more accurate handicapping and iron out some of the anomalies that we have had in the past. Comments are welcome.

We will need to increase the match fees from £1 per person to £1.50. and will, in all probability, be able to reduce them again in a couple of seasons time.

Division 2 members will note that we have an open fixture this season. The Sportsman are not able to form a regular team and are having to drop out. Hopefully they will be able to return at some stage and, in the meantime, we give them our best wishes.

Finishers Scats are moving to the Grey Mare , Tottington Rd, Harwood and wish to be known as the Grey (Night) Mares

Cross Guns are moving to the Thomas Egerton, Blackburn Rd, Egerton

The results for the first round of the cup are available here and the fixtures for the quarter finals are here

Please be reminded that anyone who did not play for their team in any of the 5 weeks prior to the cup preliminary round is not eligible to play in the cup matches.

Regards Pete

Hi,

the web site is now up to date, and all the fixtures are downloadable as described on the left under 'Calendars.

Apologies for the occasional tardiness, other pressures mean that sometimes it is difficult to fit everything in
